Update Lenovo BIOS in Windows

Luckily you still have windows installed on second SSD (/dev/sdb) so you can still apply BIOS updates to your laptop. Many users have reported freezing keyboard caused by a BIOS bug. The solution can only be applied via Windows and it appears there is no Linux BIOS update for that bug.

Update Intel Microcode for Linux

Getting the latest Intel Microcode in Ubuntu / Linux is a good idea when you are having problems:

From Ubuntu Software Settings check the bottom option Intel Microcode to enable support on your next boot.

Go back to older kernel or get Latest 4.14.xx Kernel

Many Ubuntu users reported problems with the Meltdown patches that were rushed out at the beginning of 2018 forcing Kernel 4.10.0-42 users to Kernel 4.13.0-26 ahead of schedule.
